Well as you have said before your thinking about allowing bosses to give gems as you beat them I suggest that they drop a scroll that you can redeem or sell to a shop for said gems so this both allows you to trade this scroll or sell them that is if you don't want direct gem trading.

... Just a waste of time, since you still have to go to shop and redeem it.
And theres practically no difference if you trade this 'scroll', its just like putting gems in a bottle, then trading with someone.
This is somehow pointless imo.

Seems like a good idea because people who are unfortunate enough to not get any gem drops would like to spend their gold on buying said scroll ergo buying themselves gems from gold.
