I know there will be a lot of questions for existing beta testers after this patch, hopefully this will address most questions.Posts: 433
BattleTale 1.76.00 shifts the entire metagame away from farming and grinding, and more into adventuring and acquiring unique and special items. As a result, the balance patch changes a lot of things.
1) First and foremost, the 2x XP week ended. Instead, you may notice that you're only getting 0.5 XP. This is not an error, the XP system is balanced around a feature not yet implemented, and as a result you earn more XP faster. This 0.5 XP will essentially cancel out the bonus XP until the new feature is implemented.
2) You may notice that some items you used to be able to equip can't be equipped, and some can. All weapons and armors were adjusted to fit in proper range values. This was designed to shift away from one hitting monsters, and making it a competitive battle both for PvP and PvE and reduce the importance of first hit.
3) Dungeons may become more difficult, as they were not tested and adjusted for the new damage scale. These will be fixed in the upcoming days. If you find a dungeon too hard, post on the forum, and it will be checked out and adjusted if necessary.
